PORTFOLIO: RESIDENTIAL
LEED® - ND (certified)
Marine Corps Housing Development
Honolulu, Hawai`i
Architect of Record: Woodley Architectural Group
RIM Architects provided LEED consultant services to achieve the elite sustainability status for one of Forest City’s residential communities at Marine Corps Base Kane`ohe on the island of O`ahu. The Waikulu neighborhood is now certified as having a LEED for Neighborhood Development Certified Plan by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The designation is the result of the 388-home neighborhood achieving the program’s rigorous Stage Two design level.
The third and final stage of the LEED ND program will be achieved when the neighborhood construction has been completed and confirmation is attained that the project was accomplished in accordance with LEED criteria.
